Introduction
This policy explains which cookies and similar browser-storage technologies the Sapilumen website may use, why they are needed and how to change your choice. It applies to the website and does not replace the separate application Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text records stored by your browser when you visit a website. They can keep the website working, remember settings and, only with consent, support analytics. The website may also use browser local storage for settings that are not cookies.
Storage used on this website
The Sapilumen theme uses only essential storage until you allow optional cookies. Any third-party plugin or service must be connected to the consent mechanism before it is enabled on the website.
Essential cookies and local storage
These records are required for website operation, security or a setting you explicitly selected. They cannot be disabled through the banner, but you can remove them through your browser settings.
- sapilumen_cookie_consent. Stores the Accept all or Essential only choice for 180 days so the banner is not shown on every visit.
- Website language. Polylang may store the selected interface language in the pll_language cookie. Public language URLs remain the primary language-selection mechanism.
- WordPress. For signed-in editors, WordPress uses operational cookies for authentication, security and administration settings.
- Colour theme. The light or dark theme choice is stored in localStorage under learning-platform-theme. This is a local browser setting rather than a cookie.
Optional cookies
The current theme does not start analytics, advertising or marketing cookies unless you choose Accept all. If such services are added, this policy will identify their provider, purpose and retention period, and their activation will be linked to the saved consent choice.
Managing your choice
On your first visit you can accept all cookies or keep essential storage only. You can change that choice at any time with the button below. Optional services apply the new choice on the next page load if a particular service cannot be stopped immediately.
Retention
Consent is stored for 180 days. Other essential-cookie periods are determined by WordPress, Polylang and browser settings. The local colour-theme preference remains until it is changed or website data is cleared in the browser.
Third-party services
Following an external link, for example to Google Play or VOICEVOX, opens another website with its own cookie policy. Cookies from those websites are not set merely by displaying a link; they may apply after the external resource is opened or embedded.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the cookies in use change, new integrations are introduced or the consent process is revised. The current revision date appears at the beginning of this document.
